The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 5 of their first-round series. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

The Pittsburgh Penguins can advance to the second round with a win Friday night against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Penguins won 5-0 in Game 4 to take a commanding lead in the series.

Matt Murray was excellent in goal in Game 4, picking up his second shutout of the series. Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Phil Kessel all had two-point nights, leading the Penguins. Crosby has scored a goal against all three of the goalies that Philadelphia has used in the series. Pittsburgh’s captain surpassed club legend and owner Mario Lemieux in playoff scoring. If the Penguins continue to get strong play from Murray in net and have their top lines scoring, they will be tough to beat.

No matter what goalie Dave Hakstol puts in net, the Flyers cannot keep the puck out of the net. Brian Elliott, Michal Neuvirth and Petr Mrazek have all failed to make saves. The three Flyers goalies have a combined .855 save percentage. If Philadelphia does not get better play in net, its season will be over on Friday night. Sean Couturier was injured in practice, missing Game 4, and is questionable for Game 5. Claude Giroux has struggled mightily in the playoffs since eliminating Pittsburgh in 2012. In his last 21 playoff games, Giroux has four goals, 11 points and the Flyers have not won a playoff series. The Flyers will need both Giroux and Couturier to play and produce if they are going to win three straight games.
