The Alabama Crimson Tide will hold their annual spring game on Saturday.

It’s always good to be the defending National Champions. However, that’s now in the past and the Alabama Crimson Tide have begun working on putting themselves in a position to bring home the next one to the program.

Spring football is the best time of the year to evaluate the outlook for a roster and for players to try and impress their way to jobs as the summer rolls around. For the Crimson Tide, it’s about replacing all the top talent that left for the NFL Draft.

On Saturday, the Crimson Tide will hold their annual spring game in Tuscaloosa. The game will air on ESPN and will be available to live stream via the WatchESPN app.

All eyes will be on quarterback Jalen Hurts who looks to gain some momentum after being replaced in the second half of the National Championship Game. With Tua Tagovailoa unlikely to play due to a broken finger, Hurts will have an opportunity to coaches how much he’s improved int he offseason, and what he has to still work on between now and the start of the regular season.

On the other side of the ball, the Tide will have to look to replace players such as Da’Ron Payne, Rashaan Evans, Minkah Fitzpatrick and others. The Tide lose key pieces on defense to the draft every year and it will be time for the next wave of talent to come in and get the ball rolling on what should be yet another great Alabama defense.
