25 TV Dads that would make elite MLB managers
Carl Winslow
Anther dad living in Chicago. You would think these dads would run into each other. Maybe they do and that part isn’t filmed.
As long as you’re not being an Urkel, Carl is a pretty easy guy to get along with. he’s a protective father who his daughters covered up and his son to be the best version of himself. He’s a police officer in Chicago, which sucks. Being a police officer is a tough job in the first place, but being a police officer in Chicago might be the toughest job in the world. They’ve made entire shows on how tough it is to be a police officer in Chicago.
Nothing is going to rattle Winslow. Unless you’re being an Urkel. That would be the downfall of Winslow’s managerial style. The other team can Urkel look-a-like night every time Winslow’s team is in town and he would be shook.
Why don’t teams do more Urkel look-a-like nights?
Best Fit: Chicago White Sox
We’ll keep Winslow in Chicago because he can be useful for the White Sox. They haven’t made the playoffs in 10 years, but are in love with Robin Venture for some reason.
Aside from potential Urkel’s crowding his space and throwing him off his game, Winslow being a legitimate cop is a strike against him. “Being the feds” is a derogatory phrase used to describe someone who you don’t want to associate yourself with in sports or entertainment. For example, if you were outraged by Jose Bautista’s bat flip, you’re probably police.
I don’t know Winslow’s thoughts on Jose Bautista’s bat flip. He won’t return my tweets. But he’s still police.
