Into the Badlands will see its season 3 premiere tonight with episode “Enter the Phoenix” at 10:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. Central on AMC, bumping Talking Dead to 11:00 p.m. ET. You can catch the show’s return live from your laptop over at AMC.com. The series was renewed last April by AMC with 16 episodes incoming to fans.
According to Showbuzz Daily, season 2’s premiere saw 3.44 million live viewers and 4.71 million total viewers when you include DVR watchers. Season 3 will have Fear the Walking Dead’s as its lead-in show, and the series overall has long benefited from Walking Dead viewers giving the show a chance before Talking Dead.
This season of Into the Badlands was shot over in Dublin, Ireland and includes new cast members Ella-Rae Smith (Nix), Babou Ceesay (Pilgrim), Lorraine Toussaint (Cressida), Lewis Tan (Gaius Chau), and Dean-Charles Chapman (Castor). Actor Sherman Augustus (Nathaniel Moon) returns as a series regular after his season 2 introduction.

A civil war breaks out in the Badlands and as The Widow recruits a new Regent, Sunny looks for a cure for his son Henry. Sunny might have to face the warlord Pilgrim in battle in a bid to save his son. It looks another action-packed, epic martial arts infused season of Into the Badlands is arriving on tonight’s episode. Though Into the Badlands has always owned impressive production values it looks like this season of the series has spared no expense, entirely cinema-like in presentation.
