The Philadelphia Flyers host the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 6 of their first-round series. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

The Philadelphia Flyers were able to avoid elimination in Game 5, winning 4-2 in Pittsburgh. The Penguins will look to close out the series in Philadelphia, while the Flyers try to force Game 7.

After going pointless in the first four games of the series, Valtteri Filppula struck for three points in Game 5. Dave Hakstol decided to start Michal Neuvirth over Brian Elliott in Game 5. Elliott had struggled over the first four games, getting pulled twice. Neuvirth was very good in Game 5, stopping 32 of 34 shots. After missing Game 4 with an injury, Sean Couturier returned and scored in Game 5. In addition to being one of the Flyers’ best offensive players, Couturier is one of the best defensive forwards in the NHL. Philadelphia will need Couturier and Claude Giroux to both have big games offensively if they are going to force Game 7.

Matt Murray has had a very strong in the games that Pittsburgh has won and struggled in the two games that Philadelphia won. In Game 5, Murray stopped 21 of 24 shots. However, if Pittsburgh continues to prevent Philadelphia from getting fewer than 30 shots per game, their chances of winning improve. Offensively, Sidney Crosby is having an incredible series. The Penguins captain has five goals and five assists in the series. Pittsburgh has been great on special teams in the playoffs. The Penguins are killing 88.9 percent of their penalties and converting 20.8 percent of their power plays.
