NBA Playoffs 2018: Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards Game 4 live stream: Watch online
By Jason Patt
The Washington Wizards dominated the Toronto Raptors in Game 3, and now the Wizards will try to tie up the series at 2-2 when the two teams get together on Sunday in the nation’s capital.
The Washington Wizards were one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA in the regular season, and not much changed when the Toronto Raptors grabbed a 2-0 lead in their first-round series. But on their home floor for Game 3, the Wizards put together one of their best performances of the year to make this matchup interesting again.
Washington fell behind early in Game 3 and looked to be in big trouble before flipping things around at the tail end of the first quarter. The home team then controlled the rest of the game, with John Wall leading the way with 28 points, 14 assists and six rebounds. Bradley Beal bounced back from his nightmare Game 2 to match Wall with 28 points.
DeMar DeRozan had 23 points and Kyle Lowry added 19, but it wasn’t nearly enough against the Wizards’ onslaught. Washington’s bench also handled Toronto’s well-renowned bench for the second straight game, with Fred VanVleet’s shoulder injury looming large. The Raptors’ bench has the worst net rating in the playoffs thus far after posting the best net rating in the regular season. VanVleet is day-to-day with his injury.
Mike Scott has been especially good for the Wizards off the pine. After making all four of his shots in Game 3, he’s now shooting a whopping 75 percent from the field in this series and putting up 15.3 points per game.
