The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Boston Bruins in Game 6 of their first-round series. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

For the Toronto Maple Leafs, Game 5 was do-or-die time. With their season on the line, the Buds managed to defeat the Boston Bruins by a score of 4-3. Goaltender Frederik Andersen was, without question, the night’s MVP, in that his 42 saves on 45 shots was the central avenue through which Toronto ushered forward a much needed victory.

Game 6 promises to be one of the most exciting NHL games of 2017-18, as Toronto looks to capitalize on an opportunity to push the series to seven games in front of about 20,000 screaming fans (not to mention the thousands that shall pack the streets of Maple Leaf Square). Andersen will have to perform especially strong, with the hope that his teammates sharpen their defensive game. Expect the Leafs to come out flying early on, as the team’s youngsters hope to build upon a newfound wave of confidence. Hypothetically speaking, a win for the Buds on Monday would mean that Wednesday is anyone’s game.

The Bruins will look to disappoint the Leafs’ home crowd in an attempt to move on to the second round of the postseason. If Boston is serious about avoiding Game 7, expect the team to have learned some hard lessons from Saturday night. There’s little doubt that the Bruins have outplayed the Leafs over the course of the series — as such, the odds remain in their favor. If netminder Tuukka Rask pulls off a few steals, Boston might just become too difficult for Toronto to contain.
