The annual NFL Draft is this week and that means the top college talent will be finding new homes as teams look for the next pieces that will hopefully shape their franchise. The draft is an inexact science that is unpredictable.
Every year, the top programs produce the most talent while there are hidden gems to be found from smaller schools. Over the course of history, it’s no surprise that the “blue bloods” and programs with the most history have supplied the most draft picks.
It’s staggering to think just how much talent each of these programs has put in the NFL, but with hundreds of picks for teams to make each year it’s no surprise that the best have flooded the league with selections. Here are the most selections for each program, including the top 15 via drafthistory.

The USC Trojans currently top the list with 502 draft picks in the history of their program. They are also the only program that is currently over the 500 mark. However, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are right behind them at 495.

Both of these programs are primed to have multiple selections once again this year and both will see their talent land in the first round, with names like Sam Darnold, Mike McGlinchey and Quenton Nelson set to go in the first round.
Other notables include both Ohio State and Michigan inside the top five. The Alabama Crimson Tide’s recent decade of destruction and their championship-filled past also has them in the top 10 in eighth place. They are tied with rival SEC foe Tennessee with 343 all-time draft selections apiece.
