The best personal beefs in the Jazz-Thunder series
1. Russell Westbrook (6-foot-3, 200 lbs.) vs. The World (7.6 Billion people)
It’s been Russ against the world probably since he was born, but it’s gone to another level since Kevin Durant left.
So far in this series, we’ve seen him have beef with Ricky Rubio, Rudy Gobert, Jae Crowder, Joe Ingles, Donovan Mitchell, the officials, reporters, the rim, Jazz fans, shirts/clothes that cover his chest, the NBA, and most impressively — former Massachusetts Governor and GOP Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Romney was seen taunting Westbrook after he picked up his fourth foul early in Game 4. Romney’s taunting probably didn’t faze Westbrook but his fashion statement of a Jazz jersey over a button-down probably boiled the Thunder point guard’s blood. If Romney had been wearing khaki shorts, a polo shirt, and a sweater tied over his shoulders, or better yet, wearing a polo uniform while riding a horse, those would have been lateral moves in terms of outfits that scream “square rich white guy” compared to what he was wearing courtside last night.

When Russ wasn’t being antagonized by a Republican politician, he was coming off the bench onto the court to inject himself into shoving matches between his teammates and Jazz players, grabbing the ball away from opponents as soon as the whistle was blown, staring people down, and talking trash/scowling at anyone within range of his gaze.
Anyone in the building or on the planet not in a Thunder Jersey is an enemy. I never thought that would specifically include Mitt Romney but now that that’s become a reality, just about anyone else imaginable is in play for Game 5 or for as long as this series goes.
