Cleveland Indians: Trade for Jon Jay

The Cleveland Indians are once again one of the best teams in the American League, and they should make another run towards the World Series in 2018. They have one of the best managers in the game in Terry Francona, and they have gotten off to another fast start in the AL Central.

If there is an area that could use some depth, it is in the outfield, where they could stand to bring in a player like Jon Jay. Jay currently plays for AL Central rival Kansas City, so this deal could become a little sticky, but he could definitely help the Indians.

Currently, the Indians have Lonnie Chisenhall on the disabled list, and he usually adds pop to this outfield. However, Jay could provide some good spark at the top of this lineup, and give the Indians an extra dimension to their offense.

The Royals are not going anywhere this season, as they appear to be headed to a down year. Jay could net them a solid prospect in return, and for the Indians, he could be one of those spark plugs you need in the postseason.

These two teams do not like each other, but for this one trade, they may be able to find a deal that works for both sides.
