Los Angeles Dodgers: Trade for Scooter Gennett

The Los Angeles Dodgers made it all the way to the World Series last season, though they were bested by the Houston Astros. In 2018, they have gotten out to a sluggish start, winning only eight of their first 18 games.

They should be able to right the ship, and when they do, they need to be locked and loaded for a chase for the NL West crown. One area they could use an upgrade is at second base, where they have relied on Enrique Hernandez and Chase Utley.

Hernandez is a nice utility player, and Utley can still play despite his advanced age. However, trading for a player like Scooter Gennett may be the way to go, and his current team, the Cincinnati Reds, are not going anywhere.

Gennett is a player who can hit to all fields, and he is pretty solid manning the second base position. He hit nearly .300 last season, and is off to a good start in 2018 despite his team already firing their manager.

The Dodgers are going to make their run, and adding a player like Gennett to a double play combo with Corey Seager would make them pretty solid up the middle.
