Last offseason, the New Orleans Saints traded away Brandin Cooks, leaving them with Michael Thomas to captain the wide receiver group. While Thomas is an elite player in his own right, the Saints need to draft someone who can take some of the pressure off of him in the passing game. That player could be D.J. Moore, who has quietly slipped his way into the first round, and will certainly hear his name called on Thursday night.

Moore is an explosive player, and matching him up with Thomas would give the Saints one heck of a wide receiver tandem. The Saints recently locked Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees up for two more seasons, so it would make sense that they would spend a first round pickĀ  getting him another weapon. New Orleans took a big step forward last season, but will have to keep adding pieces to win an NFC South division that sent three teams to the playoffs in 2017.

These Saints are going to be fun to watch, as the running back tandem of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram is one of the best in the business. 2017 first round pick Marshon Lattimore was an absolute beast from his cornerback position in year one, and the Saints hope to get the same return from their 2018 pick. Moore is a pretty safe pick this late in round one, and he will certainly have a nice rookie season with Brees throwing him the ball.
