Stan Lee made his regularly scheduled cameo in Avengers: Infinity War. At what point in the film did he show up, and who did he share the scene with?

*There are mild spoilers ahead for Avengers: Infinity War. Consider yourselves warned*

Even though we kept hearing how Avengers: Infinity War was unlike any other MCU film, we knew it was still good for a Stan Lee cameo. And with a runtime of over 150 minutes, they didn’t waste any time in getting to him.

The first big action scene came less than 10 minutes in, when Maw and Obsidian invaded New York to try and take the time stone away from Doctor Strange. He was joined by Iron Man and Bruce Banner — who refused to turn into Hulk — in quick succession, and chaos ensued.

The whole scene compromised Peter Parker’s field trip to MoMA, as all he and his classmates could focus on was the gigantic spaceship hovering over New York City. As Parker steals away to become Spider-Man, Stan Lee — who plays the bus driver — remains ever so unfazed, exclaiming “you act like you’ve never seen a spaceship before.”

As the creator of one of the two biggest comic book publications ever, Lee has seen plenty of spaceships in his lifetime. That’s why it was so perfect that he was the only one who remained stone-faced while everyone else was freaking out. Lee was such a fan of his cameo appearance, he even said at the LA premiere that he believed his Infinity War scene was his funniest one yet.

It’s hard to argue with the Don, but his best scene in my mind is still the oblivious librarian. Incidentally, that was in The Amazing Spider-Man, so I guess you could say that Peter Parker always brings out the best in Stan Lee.
