11. Florida Gators

  • First Season: 1906
  • All-time record: 714-415-40
  • National Titles: 3
  • Conference Titles: 8
  • Heisman Winners: 3
  • All-Americans: 32

Staying in the SEC, the Florida Gators and Gainesville have been rocking the orange and blue for over a century. With three national championships and plenty of big moments along the way, this program has seen it all.

The Gators have seen some incredible talent pass through the program over the years and their ring of honor is reserved for the best. Emmitt Smith, Steve Spurrier and Jack Youngblood are just some of the names that have represented the program well.

Tim Tebow will be up there soon as well, having brought the program two national championships under Urban Meyer and being one of three Heisman Trophy winners for the program. Spurrier and Danny Wuerffel also won one during their time as players with Florida.

Three Heisman winners and three national championships give Florida plenty of standing as a “blue blood” in the sport. The Gators, Georgia and Tennessee have seemingly passed around the SEC East between each other for years and have developed some of the best rivalries in college football.

Florida might just have the best crowd chant, with everyone in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium doing the “Gator Chomp”. Mascots are also an important part of the tradition as well, and Albert and Alberta are two of the most recognized in college football.
