Say it isn’t so: a delay for Bond 25 release?
By David Pegram
Will Bond 25 be delayed? It is certainly possible. Both Variety and the Hollywood Reporter are suggesting that the release for Bond 25 may be pushed back due to Danny Boyle’s work schedule and the leadership upheaval at MGM.
The speculation, here, isn’t surprising, but it is all just speculation, at the moment. However, matters are further complicated by news that Daniel Craig and wife Rachel Weisz (see below) are expecting their first child. Rumors suggest that this too is going to cause a delay.
Meanwhile, no official word has come from MGM or EON. Bond 25 is still set for a November 8, 2019 release. Other stars, including Naomie Harris (who made recent TV appearances to promote Rampage), Ralph Fiennes, and Rory Kinnear, have remained mum or in the dark in terms of their involvement in the next 007 film.
This would not be the first time that a Bond film release has been in limbo. Both GoldenEye (1995) and Skyfall (2012) were pushed back due to legal matters involving MGM.
