2. Josh Rosen — Arizona Cardinals

Lots of NFL scouts were concerned about Rosen’s interests outside of football but that criticism is a lot of nonsense. Both of Rosen’s parents were Olympic medalists who’ve excelled in their chosen careers. There’s no reason Rosen can’t do the same thing in the NFL.

Aside from all that, getting the most polished quarterback in the Draft all the way down at No. 10 is terrific value. There isn’t a throw in the pocket he can’t make consistently. Drafting Rosen also gives Arizona the added benefit of securing a signal caller with the ability to get rid of the football before pressure arrives.

It’ll be very interesting to see whether or not the Cardinals choose to hand Rosen the keys to the offensive from day one. They have Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon in the building which gives them an opportunity to let Rosen watch from the sidelines for part of the season. Of course, they didn’t pay the steep price required to go up and get him just to have him hold a clipboard.

No matter what, Rosen should grab the starting job by the horns before the end of the season. Bradford is a huge injury risk and Rosen is simply a much better thrower than Glennon. Look for him to sit for a few games, but get into action sooner rather than later for the Cardinals. Rosen could end up being the best quarterback from this draft if Arizona surrounds him with the right kind of weapons.
