The Cleveland Browns are off to a horrific start in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Let’s be really honest. It didn’t take long to find a horrible pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Fortunately for the Browns, there were several other teams which made highly questionable selections.

As always, you have to admit that judging a draft pick right after their selection is an inexact science at best. Choices here for the five worst selections are split up into two main categories. They either represent players we didn’t like in general or teams that have reached too far to select them. In many cases, it’s a combination of both.

There’s also the reality that some front offices have earned the benefit of the doubt while some teams have to pay for their horrible track records. If New England takes a relatively unknown player, then everyone trusts Bill Belichick and calls him a genius. If the Browns were to pick the same player, they’re going to get panned by the critics.

With all that being said, it’s pretty easy to identify more than five picks that don’t look great in round one. The following five picks managed to separate themselves from the rest of the group. This year’s NFL Draft provided some real head scratching decisions. Read on to discover the five worst picks from Thursday night.
