Anthony Davis has no fear of the Golden State Warriors
By Dave Daniels
The New Orleans Pelicans could erase a lot of dreams by taking down the Golden State Warriors in the next round.
The New Orleans Pelicans swept the Portland Trail Blazers in Round 1, and Anthony Davis enters the series against the Golden State Warriors with a world of confidence and no fear. He’s earned that.
The Warriors are clearly vulnerable at the moment. Stephen Curry is out with a knee injury, and that is a plight that could derail the Warriors. The Pelicans are feeling good about the series.
"“It’s fun,” Davis said to ESPN. “We know that we can beat them. We’ve done it in the regular season. And we’ve been in every game that we lost [against them], so we know that we’re a good matchup against these guys and we’ve got a lot of confidence in ourself. Anytime they score, we know they’re going to score and make shots, it’s tough, we just got to get the ball out fast and push it down the floor and try to [go] quicker.”"
He averaged 33 points and 11.8 rebounds against the Blazers, and he helped make it a quick series. Damian Lillard had no response to Davis in that round. Portland had no chance as a result.

Davis, a 25 year-old All-Star, sometimes looks like he plays on a trampoline when everyone else is stuck on the ground. Just look at some of these ridiculous plays from Game 4.
You could even argue that he has been more dominant than LeBron James throughout the last few months.
When DeMarcus Cousins went down, it seemed like the Pelicans were done for the season. But that was not the case, and Davis is on a mission to upset the defending champions. It will be fun to watch the attempt.
