NFL Draft 2018: Round 2 mock draft
By Joe Romano
The first day of the NFL draft is now in the books. Time to look forward to tonight’s piece and the all-important second round.
Cleveland kicked off a wild first round, shocking most of the NFL world by selecting Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick. The entire round brought some surprises, with very few mock drafts looking close to accurate after the first ten picks. Since the first round went so swimming for all those that write mock drafts, it makes sense to try my hand at the second round.
There are still plenty of talented players on the board for teams. LSU running back Derrius Guice and Boston College pass rusher Harold Landry lead the way as surprises that did not hear their name called on Thursday night. Historically the second-round is jam-packed with trades. A year ago the New Orleans Saints made a move in the second-round and it led to the selection of Offensive Rookie of the Year Alvin Kamara. The Browns and Colts own the top of the second round with two of the first five picks each.
