Saquon Barkley is already a hit with Giants fans, his new jersey is selling like hot cakes.

It’s going to take Saquon Barkley a little time to help his new team on the field, but he’s already helping the Giants bottom line. Early indications are that talented running back is going to be a hit with the team’s passionate fan base.

Early returns from the NFL’s official jersey retailer, Fanatics, indicate that Barkley is the top-selling jersey coming out of last night’s NFL Draft. No specific numbers were given in terms of jerseys sold or revenue produced, but the company did admit that Barkley sold more jerseys on Draft night than any other player in NFL history.

If you want to pump up the numbers a bit, you can get your own Barkley jersey and other gear here.

Not bad for the Draft’s second pick. In case you’re wondering, No. 1 overall selection Baker Mayfield checked in at number two on Fanatics’ list. Jets signal caller Sam Darnold rounds out the top three.

Barkley’s initial popularity in New York certainly wasn’t a surprise to everyone. Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. already believes Barkley will have the highest-selling jersey in the entire NFL next season. You can try to slide into his DMs if you want to take him up on a wager regarding his prediction.

If you’re one of the fans who jumped on the Barkley bandwagon and ordered a jersey last night you’ll have to wait a little while before you can rep your new favorite player in public. Fanatics waits to ship any product until after the player is formally assigned a number by his new team. It’s a safe bet that Barkley will stick with 26, but Fanatics won’t take a chance until everything’s made official.

Baker Mayfield made history by going No. 1 overall last night but Saquon Barkley managed to etch his name in the record books as well. The former Penn State running back will hold the title as the top jersey seller on Draft night for at least another year. Barkley should enjoy the record while he can.
