2. The Indians cannot score at all

The Indians are lucky to play in arguably the worst division in baseball, so their 12-9 record still has them in first place. However, their offense is the reason they haven’t won more games. They have the fourth best ERA in baseball and their vaunted pitching staff has been doing its thing.

On the other hand, Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor, Edwin Encarnacion, and co. haven’t done much of anything. The Indians are tied with the Orioles and Marlins for the 26th most runs scored in baseball. Those teams have a combined record of 12-34. That’s not very good. While the Indians have a history of a winning streak at some point through the season, the offense has given no hope that will happen.

We expected the Indians could be a competitive team in the American League this year, but we haven’t seen that yet. If they don’t start hitting before the Twins, who actually have scored less than Cleveland, they won’t be leading their division for long.
