Adorable girl makes heartwarming video for Shaquem Griffen
By Devin Keller
Former UCF Linebacker Shaquem Griffen, the NFL prospect with one hand, received a very heartwarming video from a little girl that will make you smile.
Shaquem Griffen has gotten a lot of attention throughout his career at the University of Central Florida, and definitely now. He has only has one hand after an amputation at four years old and after starring at UCF and then dominating the NFL Combine, was taken in the draft by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round on Saturday afternoon.
Incredibly, the linebacker will be reunited with his twin brother, Shaquille, on the Seahawks.
Still, perhaps the coolest moment of the whole thing was when a little girl sent a video to Griffen. The video shows the child, who only has one arm, doing a cartwheel-like move in a UCF dance uniform. She calls herself his “number one” fan, mostly because of their similar condition. This is definitely one of the biggest reasons why we love sports and why kids of all ages look up to sports players from around the world.

Griffen has had a magnificent career to this point. Last year, he starred on an undefeated team that calls itself the national champions, despite any actual recognition in that department from the NCAA. With Griffen being drafted into the NFL, his determination is an inspiration for so many others who society might see as limited. It goes to show that no matter who you are or what you have, anything is possible with effort.
