Oklahoma State spring game 2018: Live stream, TV channel, date
The Oklahoma State Cowboys break the seal on the 2018 season when they play the annual spring game on April 28 at Boone Pickens Stadium
Another season is on the horizon in Stillwater, and it’s time to start getting some answers about the holes that need to be filled at Oklahoma State. After a Camping World Bowl victory over Virginia Tech, the Cowboys look to rebuild after losing some of their top guns.
The annual Black-Orange game will have an interesting look this year, as it will be missing some key parts of Mike Gundy’s usually high-powered offense. Mason Rudolph, James Washington, and Marcel Ateman are among a few faces not returning to Stillwater. However there are a few new faces that will be competing for those open spots, and Saturday will be your chance to get a good look at them.
Taylor Cornelius seems to be the front-runner for the quarterback spot vacated by Rudolph. Cornelius is a 6’6″, 232-pound senior that has seemingly been in Stillwater a lifetime. The Texas native has been on campus since 2014, and on a short list of players to have done the same. He is more than familiar with Gundy’s offense and will have a chance to put his skills to the test. But he’ll have a little competition this summer, as two more players are expected to challenge for the role.
Justice Hill is another face that has the opportunity to do some serious damage if given the chance. He is eyeing a couple of huge rushing records, and if the offense in Stillwater continues to be dominant, he could very well get them. The OSU and Big 12 rushing records are both within grasp, and he has two full seasons to chip away at those two goals. If he can stay healthy, this should be a fun journey to watch.
