High Salary PG

Donovan Mitchell ($8,900): Ricky Rubio has been ruled out for Game 1, which means you’re going to see a whole lot of Mitchell on offense. The Rockets have a much better defense than the Thunder, so it won’t be quite as easy for Mitchell, but he’s proven himself in the playoffs and there is no reason to doubt him. He struggled against the Rockets in the regular season, but three of those games were before Jan. 1. ****

Chris Paul ($7,800): Paul had 58 fantasy points twice against the Jazz this season. But those games were in December, before the Jazz really turned their season around. The Jazz defense will make life tough on the Rockets and Paul can sometimes fade into the background when James Harden gets rolling. He’s a solid bet at this salary. ***

High Value PG

Darren Collison ($5,100): After struggling in Game 5, Collison was back over value in Game 6. He’s been up-and-down all series, but his salary has lowered and he’s still the starting point guard. The Pacers starters will need to be great if they hope to win this one. ***

Eric Gordon ($4,800): Gordon was over value in his last two playoff games, which should give him some confidence heading into Game 1. But the Jazz present a much tougher defense than the Timberwolves. Be weary of him due to his inconsistency all season, but the opportunities will certainly be there. **
