Here’s how you can watch Homeland’s season 7 finale live online or the old-fashioned way right on your television.

Homeland’s seventh season concludes tonight after a jaw-dropping, action packed stunner that was last week’s episode. It was one for the ages, a true television masterpiece with twists and turns straight out of a New York Times best selling novel and action scenes worthy of a James Bond film. It was what Homeland is all about and left you with that rare, fuzzy “Nooo! Is this episode over?” feeling few shows can ever accomplish. Tonight’s episode titled “Paean to the People” airs at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime, and you can catch it live from the comfort of your laptop using Showtime’s Anytime service.

It all goes down tonight. W ill now-disgraced President Elizabeth Keane be able to reclaim her seat following the 25th Amendment being invoked? Can Carrie and Saul prove the Russian connection via Simone Martin in time or is the Keane Presidency doomed, forever tarnished by the work of Yevgeny Gromov? Last week’s episode ended with Carrie and Simone wearing opposite blonde/brunette wigs in an effort to throw Gromov off their trail.

We saw Senator Paley sit in his car, staring aimlessly as Americans led by Saul had their silent operation ambushed … All thanks to a tip delivered by his Chief of Staff to a Russian Ambassador to help their own careers. Meanwhile, General Yakushin saw his secret money funds frozen by Saul to force his hand at giving up the location of Simone Martin. An expendable asset to him, particularly since he despises Gromov’s work and sees no value in it, preferring to keep America (and his money) stable. Yakushin threw out a masked army out there to storm the building Martin was being held at, as Carrie saw an opportunity to blend in, masked.

After an amazing scene in which Carrie literally tip-toes on the slimmest of ledges on a balcony at the top of a high-rise, she found Simone. Though Simone had the upper-hand with a pistol aimed at her, Carrie was able to convince her Gromov would inevitably have to dispense her. That no matter Gromov’s personal feelings toward her, she is now expendable following Yakushin’s actions.

“Paean to the People” episode description

"Carrie and Saul’s mission doesn’t go as planned. Elizabeth Keane fights for her presidency. Season finale."

Saul has Simone in his custody in the latest Homeland trailer, and Senator Paley is not happy about it. Senator Paley has fully given in to his career aspirations following a moment of reflection at what he was doing last episode. He knows Elizabeth Keane was right all along about Simon’s Russian angle, much to the detriment of his innate beliefs. Paley will attempt to utilize Vice President Ralph Warner’s power to put a stop to Saul bringing Simone back to the United States.

Tonight will see a final showdown between Carrie and Gromov, sure to be an iconic scene for the series. When will Gromov realize it’s actually Carrie in the brunette wig rather than Simone? The countdown to the reveal begins.
