David Edwards. 21. player. 26. . Offensive Tackle. Wisconsin

It was a very interesting draft for the Baltimore Ravens last week, as they traded back into the first round to take Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. Sure, Jackson is a good prospect, but the Ravens have Joe Flacco entrenched as the starter, even if he is mediocre at best recently. Earlier in round one, Baltimore selected tight end Hayden Hurst, and then went to the well again and drafted another tight end, Mark Andrews, in round three.

In between those picks, the Ravens brought in Orlando Brown Jr., whose father was a long-time offensive tackle for the team. Brown had a terrible NFL Scouting Combine, but it looks like Ravens had enough info on him to make him a third round pick. Even with Brown in tow, the Ravens should spend their 2019 first rounder on the offensive tackle position, and David Edwards would be a nice get at No. 21.

Edwards has been an anchor on the Wisconsin offensive line during his time at the school, helping them be one of the more consistent teams in the Big Ten. He has the size to stay on the left side at the next level, and would be tasked with protecting Flacco or Jackson’s blindside. The Ravens should be a playoff team in 2018, and if they continue to bolster the offensive line, they will continue to be for quite some time.
