2019 NFL Mock Draft: Browns select Nick Bosa at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Pittsburgh Steelers made a nice pick in the first round on Thursday, as they brought in Terrell Edmunds from Virginia Tech. With the pick, the Steelers made Edmunds and his brother, Tremaine, the first pair of brothers to be selected in the same first round. Quite an accomplishment for the pair, and for the Steelers, they added an elite safety with the selection of Edmunds in the first round.
In the second round, the Steelers grabbed a wide receiver in James Washington, and then Ben Roethlisberger’s successor in Mason Rudolph in the third round. With their top pick in 2019, they should look to add another young body to that defense, and Christian Wilkins from Clemson should be available. Wilkins is one of the famed Clemson defensive linemen, who should be the best unit in college football this season.
The Steelers continue to get younger on defense, and Wilkins can be a guy who can solidify the middle of the unit for years to come. He is pretty explosive off the ball, and is just as good at getting pressure up front, as he is at coming in and laying out running backs. Pittsburgh will make another run this season, but unfortunately, it will end without a ring for Big Ben and company.
