2019 NFL Mock Draft: Browns select Nick Bosa at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
When you look at the Minnesota Vikings heading into the 2018 season, you have to be excited about what this defense is going to do. Sure, they were incredible last season, but they have the talent to be even better in 2018. On offense, the team brought in Kirk Cousins to replace Case Keenum, who went to Denver, and star running back Dalvin Cook should be healthy after blowing up his knee last season.
As if their defense was not already elite, the Vikings decided to add to the unit with their top selection in 2018. The Vikings drafted UCF’s Mike Hughes, who was just as good as any other cornerback in the draft class. With their top pick in 2019, the Vikings may want to go to the other side of the ball, bringing in Beau Benzschawel from Wisconsin to help in the interior of their offensive line.
Benzschawel is a part of one of the better offensive lines in college football heading into next season, as he and David Edwards could be first rounders for Wisconsin. The Vikings have what should be an elite running back in Cook, so it makes sense they would add to a pretty thin offensive line via the NFL Draft. They already added Brian O’Neill in the second round in 2018, giving them an offensive tackle that could be an anchor on the line for years to come.
