Florida Panthers: Jaromir Jagr

Over his 200-year career, Jaromir Jagr has rocked some incredible beard/hair combinations. The three most memorable are mullet, the handlebars and the beard. In 2016, the Atlantic Division champion Florida Panthers invited fans and players alike to grow their beards in a “Beard-a-thon” for charity.

Unfortunately for the Panthers, they were ousted in the first round of those playoffs. Not before veteran Jaromir Jagr grew this perfect peppery playoff beard, though. Old-man Jaromir led taught the young Panthers how to rock one of the greatest beards in NHL history, which could not have been comfortable in the humid Florida heat.

Jagr holds the second highest career point total in NHL history, at 1921 (behind Wayne Gretzky’s ridiculous 2857). Coincidentally, 1921 was the year that Jagr started playing in the NHL.

Jagr would have to play another century to catch the Great One in points, but the one thing he will always be able to hold over Gretzky is the ability to absolutely nail a playoff beard. In fact, you could write a playoff beard article with only Jaromir Jagr, as he has basically played for every team. His long and stories career may be over, but his iconic looks will live on in NHL-lore forever.
