Number 10: Arizona Diamondbacks
Now we crack the top-10 where things start getting good. Each of these teams are exciting watches and teams that’ll likely be duking it out for the rights to the MLB playoffs come October of this year.
The D-Backs round out the top-10 of the watchability list and for good reason. They’re in first place in the NL West with a 16-7 record through their first 23 games of the season.
Surprisingly their offensive numbers as an entire team isn’t good, but their lineup has some depth and some players that are certainly exciting watches. Let’s start with the obvious Paul Goldschmidt.
Goldy is hitting .259 with four homers. Despite a lower batting average Goldschmidt gets on base a ton. He’s rocking a .400 OBP which shows that he’s able to work out walks. For the past five years in a row he’s been an all-star and it’ll likely be six again this year. Goldschmidt is a certified star in this league.
You also have the veteran A.J. Pollock manning center field. Pullock already has five homers on the season, which is a hot start for him. He’ll likely finish with upwards of 20 and he’s a nice complementary piece to Goldschmidt.
On the mound, the ace of the staff is Zack Greinke. Even though he’s off to a slow start the 34-year-old is one of the league’s best pitchers.
Between the star at first and the star ace, the Diamondbacks are going to be a fun team to keep up with this season.
