Cleveland Indians starter Trevor Bauer tweeted some not-so-cryptic shade towards the Houston Astros starters strange spin rate numbers.

The 27-year-old righty, who is known for having some filthy stuff of his own, is skeptical of the Astros spin rate among their starters, as veterans like Justin Verlander and Charlie Morton are seeing career-best spin rates in Houston.

While some of this might just be a coincidence the Indians Bauer believes Houston is up to something and even implied he might spill the beans on the subject.

And then, of course, Houston starter Lance McCullers clapped back, sparking a potential feud baseball fans are sure to eat up between young studs in Bauer and McCullers.

While there may not be an actual way to prove the Astros are cheating, Trevor Bauer’s anticipated response to this fall out could have people more hyped than they are for Avengers four (Ok, probably not).

This does, however, make the next Indians/Astros showdown much more than two teams with World Series dreams. Now it involves a dude who thinks an entire pitching staff is cheating and I’m sure an Indian is in for a taste of that “doctored” spin rate coming into the batter’s box.

Get your DVR’s ready for the weekend of April 18th through the 20th when the Indians visit the Astros in Houston.
