7. Tom Chambers over Mark Jackson

Look, there’s no one who ever watched this clip for the first time and were surprised that Tom Chambers dunked on Mark Jackson. Sometimes it makes sense to take one for the team, and other times you just have to make a business decision. Jackson chose the former and it turned into one of the most shocking dunks of all time.

The surprising part of the Tom Chambers dunk is not the fact that it happened, but that Chambers looked like he had a 52-inch vert in the process. He takes off, makes contact with Jackson and it looks like his body decides that gravity doesn’t matter and adds a few more feet of elevation for effect.

Jackson pretty much disintegrates into the painted area as Chambers throws down the dunk, and it’s Jackson who picks up the foul — and Chambers absolutely loves it.

“It was one of those things to where I didn’t have time to stop and try to go around him, I had to just try and get myself to the rim,” said Chambers years after the dunk. “I was able to do that and I literally jumped over Mark Jackson. He tried to protect himself, and that gave me even more of a boost because I know I had to kind of duck to not hit my head when I was coming down from that dunk.

The dunk was so epic, the Phoenix Suns made a mini bronze statue of the dunk that doubles as the absolute most hilarious sub-stories to a dunk ever.
