Red Bull Salzburg and Marseille have played three times in Europa League this season. The two teams were drawn in the same group, with Salzburg winning one game and the other game ending in a draw. In the first leg of their semifinal, Marseille won 2-0 in France. The second leg moves to Austria and will determine which team advances to the final.

Red Bull Salzburg will have to be aggressive if they are going to make up their two-goal deficit in the second leg. Marco Rose did not play Munas Dabbar in Salzburg’s 2-0 win over the weekend. Dabbar leads the club with 26 goals in all competitions. Fredrik Gulbrandsen will lead the line with Dabbar on Thursday. The Norweign striker has scored 16 goals this season. Rose will have a decision to make with who he decides to start behind the strikers. Hannes Wolf got the start in the first leg but might be replaced by Takumi Minamino in the second leg.

Marseille won the first leg 2-0 with Florian Thauvin and Clinton N’Jie scoring, with Dimitri Payet assisting on both goals. Payet has been incredible over the last two Europa League games for Marseille. The French midfielder has pushed the attack forward and created goals. Thauvin has been the best player for Marseille this season. The French winger has scored 24 goals and added 17 assists in all competitions this season. Rudi Garcia played Thauvin or Payet less than an hour against Angers over the weekend as Marseille fight for a Champions League spot for next season. The extra rest should help The Olympians in the second leg. An away goal would likely be enough for the French side to advance to the final.
