Did we not tell you that the Jazz were an elite team? Did we not tell you that LeBron James was an unkillable force that was always going to prevail in the Eastern Conference?  And did we not explicitly say once Nikola Mirotic shaved his beard he would hit achieve new heights???

So hopefully none of these recent storylines have caught faithful Fastbreak Breakfast listeners unaware. As for the rest of you, it’s time to get up to speed on the only breakfast-themed NBA podcast of note.

On the latest episode:

  • How does Donovan Mitchell continue to exceed expectations? Honestly we didn’t even think Utah could win in Houston.
  • Is Russ “Russdiculous” Smith an unparalleled evaluator of NBA talent?
  • Can the Raptors lean on the depth that has been a strength all year to get back into their series?
  • What has been more impressive, the post-Process 76ers winning 50 games or the Jazz making the second round of the playoffs in consecutive seasons?
  • Who cares about championships- is Brad Stevens currently the best coach in the NBA?
  • Are the league’s explanations for when replay can and cannot be used logical? Is there a more technologically sound solution to most late-game officiating questions?
  • Despite our faith in Mirotic, how did he end up betraying us?
