2. Deal Reggie Jackson

It’s no secret that the Pistons would like to unload their talented, but expensive starting point guard. Finding a taker for Jackson’s guaranteed salary of over $35 million over the next two years isn’t going to be easy though.

The trick for Detroit’s front office will be to try to find a team that really wants to get better this offseason. Jackson isn’t a great long-term asset for anyone’s future, but if he stays healthy he can push a good team up another level or two. The other possibility is to shop him to a rebuilding team that can afford to swallow his salary for the two years until it comes off the book, when it could be turned into something more useful.
