DraftKings MLB featured picks and lineups for Monday May 7
Monday’s DraftKings MLB slate will find quality pitching hard to come by on a seven-game slate, even with Stephen Strasburg on the bump.
Yesterday’s slate was hard to decipher which elite pitchers to use, or even to use both, well pitching is again in question today. Max Scherzer and Chris Sale were dominant, and those were the two that cashed in for all my lineups whether both were rostered or just one. The only pitcher who didn’t was Noah Syndergaard, even though Andrew Suarez nearly made up for it.
James Shields was throwing a no-hitter against the Twins, which made their stack underwhelming, but Eddie Rosario made it worthwhile with 26 DKFP. Matt Adams continued his dominance against Jake Arrieta with another home run and 17 DKFP. Odubel Herrera’s two doubles off Scherzer could’ve separated with low ownership and 15 DKFP.
All that and more was found in Sunday’s column.
For Monday, there are no delays or postponement threats but wind could play a factor. The wind is blowing in at Busch Stadium, Globe Life Park and Wrigley Field. Elsewhere the wind is either blowing out to dead center (Oakland) or to left or right field.
Both the Mets-Reds and Tigers-Rangers game have the slate’s highest over/under at 9.5 runs. The lowest is 7 with the Nationals and Padres.
Top 3 run projections: Mets and Tigers 4.83, Reds and Rangers 4.67
Bottom 3 run projections: Padres 3.09, Athletics 3.90, Nationals 3.91
A full list can be found on Rotogrinders, though the Marlins-Cubs game has not been updated on their site.
