1. Bryce Love – Stanford

Love is the best NFL prospect to come out of Stanford since Andrew Luck. If he would have chosen to enter the 2018 Draft he easily could have emerged as a first round pick. Instead, he opted to postpone the NFL to enjoy one more year of college life.

That might come back to haunt Love’s draft stock. He doesn’t have anything left to prove at the collegiate level. That means that his performances are going to be under an intense microscope this season. Expect to hear scouts nitpick Love’s game just like a quarterback who stays in school one year too long.

With that being said, he’s still the most exciting running back prospect in this class. He carried the ball 237 times for just under 2,000 rushing yards for the Cardinal attack last season. Love showed he has the size, speed and durability to be a premier NFL rusher.

Expect Love to find his way into round one in 2019. Scouts will inevitably fall in love with his attitude during interviews. They will also love watching him run over and around opponents all season long in the Pac-12.

Bryce Love isn’t going to go No. 2 overall, but he will almost certainly be the top running back taken in the 2019 NFL Draft.
