PITCHERS

It should be of interest to DFS players that David Price was scratched Tuesday evening from Wednesday’s start as numbness returned to his hand, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reported. Due to having an off day Monday, Rick Porcello will start instead of calling someone up from triple-A.

Wednesday’s pitching slate features Patrick Corbin at $13,300 at Dodger Stadium. Lifetime the Dodgers are .275 with 16 doubles, five home runs and 45 strikeouts. But Corbin has been a different pitcher this year. Seventeen of those strikeouts and only four of those hits have come in two starts this season. Corbin’s strikeout rate has risen by 13 percent to 34.7, which is hands-down a career best. Even at his price point, rostering Corbin is a legitimate option.

Gio Gonzalez ($11,400) is averaging seven strikeouts per game this season, but only has better than six once in his last four starts. Furthermore, he’s only completed six innings twice and seven innings once. But he has a favorable matchup against the Padres, who have a league-worst 27.1 strikeout rate.

TOP TIER

Rick Porcello ($10,800), at Yankees

Porcello has kept Yankee hitters at bay over the course of his career. They are just .196 hitters, though that comes with seven homes runs. New York is ninth in strikeout rate (24.1 percent) and did so six times in seven innings in a prior meeting, in which they only had two hits.

Others: Patrick Corbin ($13,300), Gio Gonzalez ($11,400)

VALUE

Chris Stratton ($5,900), at Phillies

Stratton’s road splits are worth playing, even at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. Aside from three starts against the Dodgers, who have seemingly figured him out, Stratton has scored 18.7 DKFP or more in four starts. His strikeout rate is just 20.8 but the Phillies are third at 25.7 percent.

Others: Alex Wood ($7,600), Joey Lucchesi ($7,200)
