There are several prospective players at third base that will be tough to choose between.

Christian Villanueva is a solid option for GPP games. He hasn’t gotten a hit in over a week now, but his last hit was a home runs. He has seven of his nine at Petco Park and eight of those nine have come against southpaws.

Mike Moustakas had a two-home run game on Tuesday and is in a favorable spot again against Andrew Cashner, who has allowed nine home runs in seven games.

Josh Donaldson ($4,800), vs. Wade LeBlanc

After being no-hit the night before, Donaldson is in a good spot against LeBlanc, which could signal a bullpen game or short outing. Donaldson is 4 for 9 lifetime against the southpaw with two home runs.

Danny Valencia ($3,100), vs. Eric Skoglund

Valencia is another specialist against left-handed pitching. He’s coming off a home run in Tuesday’s slugfest. He has a lifetime .343 BABIP and .182 ISO against lefties.
