Mariners at Blue Jays

Mariners Probable Starter – Wade LeBlanc, LHP

3.57 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 7.64 K/9

Vs LHH – .250 average, .319 wOBA and 28.6 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .278 average, .316 wOBA and 36.6 hard contact rate

I think the perception might be to attack Wade LeBlanc tonight and I’m not sure I’m totally on board with that. I’m not trying to die on a hill saying LeBlanc is a good pitcher but he hasn’t exactly been a gas can either so far this season. He is giving up fly balls to righty hitter over 48 percent of the time so far this season and the Jays have enough right-handed power to make him pay for that. I’m not sure I’ll go a full stack but there is plenty of reason to have a Blue Jay or two in your lineup tonight.

Blue Jays Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Josh Donaldson, Justin Smoak, Yangervis Solarte

Secondary Options – Teoscar Hernadez Curtis Granderson, Kevin Pillar

Blue Jays Probable Starter – Jamie Garcia, LHP

6.60 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 9.60 K/9

Vs LHH – .344 average, .501 wOBA and 50.0 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .276 average, .386 wOBA and 39.7 hard contact rate

Garcia is really struggling so far this year and the Mariners aren’t exactly a great matchup for him. There’s a lot of ways to attack Garcia and Seattle might be one of the better stacking options of the night. Even though Garcia is still striking out a decent amount of hitters, the Mariners have one of the lowest strikeout rates against lefty pitching. Players might shy away from Dee Gordon because they’ll see lefty on lefty but at $3,200, he’s a wonderful play. There’s really no bat from Seattle that I’d talk you out of tonight.

Mariners Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Dee Gordon, Robinson Cano, Mitch Haniger

Secondary Options – Jean Segura, Nelson Cruz, Ryon Healey

Home Run Pick – Yangervis Solarte

Braves at Rays

Braves Probable Starter – Julio Teheran, RHP

3.65 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 8.51 K/9

Vs LHH – .212 average, .325 wOBA and 41.2 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .209 average, .305 wOBA and 27.7 hard contact rate

There’s definitely a case to be made to use Teheran tonight in GPP formats if nothing else. He’s in excellent form if you take away the start where he left with a back injury, he’s eclipsed 36 FanDuel points in four straight starts. Teheran is also very confusing because his walk rate, hard hit rate and fly ball rate are all up from last year. Many of the metrics would suggest Teheran should be way worse than he’s performed to this point. The Rays are an average matchup against righties and this game being in Tampa is a big boost for Teheran. The price tag on Teheran is definitely appealing.

Rays Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Denard Span, Mallex Smith

Secondary Options – C.J. Cron, Wilson Ramos

Rays Probable Starter – Ryan Yarbourgh, LHP

3.33 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 7.40 K/9

Vs LHH – .130 average, .329 wOBA and 21.4 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .191 average, .237 wOBA and 26.3 hard contact rate

The lefty for the Rays has just 24.1 innings under his belt and he’s got a tough assignment ahead of him tonight against the Braves. I have a soft spot for the Braves in general and tonight will be no different. They’re destroying lefties this season and they’re priced up, as they should be. They might be one of my favorite stacks of the night with the Orioles game being right up there as well.

Braves Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuna

Secondary Options – Kurt Suzuki, Freddie Freeman, Nick Markakis

Home Run Pick – My man crushes Acuna and Albies will both hit a bomb tonight
