As the Premier League season nears its conclusion, Leicester and Arsenal are both in the table half of the table. The Foxes are ninth with 44 points. The Gunners are sixth with 60 points. Leicester and Arsenal’s first meeting this season was one of the best games of the season. On the opening day of the season, Arsenal defeated Leicester 4-3 in a thrilling game that saw the Gunners score twice in the final 10 minutes.
Leicester have struggled to close the season. The Foxes have lost four of their last five games, picking up only one point. Leicester have been outscored 11-2 over that stretch and will need to play better if they are going to win their first game since March. Claude Puel will rely on Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to create goals. The duo have combined for 27 goals this season.
Arsenal crushed Burnley 5-0 in Arsene Wenger’s final home game. The Gunners won four of their last six games but will finish sixth. Arsenal are finishing outside of a Champions League spot because they have been awful away from home. The Gunners have won only three away games and have only 14 points on the road. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice against Burnley. The Gabon striker has found the back of the net eight times in 11 games since joining Arsenal. Only Alexandre Lacazette has score more goals for the Gunners. The French striker has scored 14 goals in his first season with the London club.
