Steve Kerr his singing the praises of his celebrated Swiss Army Knife, Draymond Green. After last night’s series-clinching win over the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday night, Kerr stated Green would be a Hall of Famer.
The Golden State Warriors grabbed their fourth consecutive Western Conference Finals appearance after defeating the New Orleans Pelicans in five games Tuesday night. Draymond Green, the team’s most complex player finished his night with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. He also finished the series averaging a triple-double, (14.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 10.0 assists) becoming the first Warriors player to do so in a playoff series.
In a post-game presser, Kerr marveled at Green’s performance, while also championing his defense, energy levels, and basketball intellect. Kerr would also state that his star power forward is a future Hall of Famer, according to Bleacher Report.
"“The guy has huge energy, amazing defense, incredible basketball intellect. He’s a future Hall of Famer. He’s right in his prime right now, but this guy is the perfect modern-day NBA big. He can guard everybody, he can step out and make threes, he can handle the ball in transition. This is what the NBA has become, and you have to have somebody like Draymond to have a good team. So, we’re lucky to have him.”"

Green’s value to the team stretches toward both ends of the floor. On offense, Green’s passing opens the floor for the Warriors to spread the defense out with its shooting. Green can also knock down open 3-pointers, which adds to the high-powered Warriors offense. On defense, Green can defend any position on the court, lockdown quicker guards and defending bigger opponent in the paint with ease.
A player such as Green doesn’t come often, and if he keeps up his stellar play a trip to the Hall is very likely. Especially if he and the Warriors keep adding championship rings to his resume.
