Kevin Knox. 19. player. 125. . F. Kentucky

The Hawks are in the advantageous position of being able to draft for talent without worrying about fit — other than Dennis Schroder and Taurean Prince there really isn’t anything foundational on their roster.

Knox could be ideal as a complimentary players on offense, working as a floor-spacing power forward. At his ceiling, he is a guy who can engage the offense, reverse the ball, set screens, cut and spot up. Their ability to make the defensive pay attention while he do is it all could be his greatest value. Knox may not be at that level as a passer or screener at this point, but he comes in ready to be a 3-and-D contributor. Whoever the Hawks bring in as head coach will be focused on player development and Knox is certainly a player with size and skill to develop, even if there are plenty of rough spots to his game right now.
