4. D.J. Moore, WR, Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton finally has a weapon on the outside to throw to not named Steve Smith Sr. At 6-0 and 210 pounds, the Panthers need to use him on the outside and in the slot. This will allow them to take advantage of two key aspects of their offense — Newton’s arm strength and his speed.

Moore has 4.4 speed and using him in the slot will take advantage of some catch and run potential. In addition to that, he can blow by corners on the outside, making him a deep threat. Moore should play mostly in the slot, but the Panthers can make some matchup advantages by moving him outside, especially against teams that have corners that stick to one side of the field.

Moore has the ability to give the Panthers the weapon on offense they desperately need. Moore has also returned punts and kickoffs in his college career. So, if the Panthers use him as a receiver and returner, and he does well enough, he will definitely catch the eye of voters.
