After a fun-filled night of fights, BAMMA 35 is done and dusted. Two huge prospects remain undefeated in their hunt for titles and Ion Pascu puts himself in prime position for a fight for the welterweight strap.

BAMMA 35 is in the books and what a night of fights it was in Dublin. Out of 14 fights on the night, only 4 went the distance. Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor also made an appearance to cheer on his fellow SBG Ireland teammates on the night in the 3Arena.

Team Ryano made their presence known on the night picking up four wins on the night. The north Dublin-based gym had two back to back finishes early in the pro prelim card as James Sheehan(1-1) and Diarmuid Ó Buachalla(1-0) made their presence known. Finishing off the wins was Myles Price(10-6), after losing the first round he came back strong to dominate over two rounds, showing slick grappling he’s know to have to pull off the win.

Highly touted prospect Dean Barry(1-1)fell short in his fight with Anthony Taylor(3-5). Barry dominated the first round, striking with precision and stuffing all takedowns that came his way. The fight looked like it wouldn’t make it past the second round but Taylor came out in the following round and exposed the Irishman securing a takedown, taking the back and sinking in a deep rear-naked choke to finish off the fight. It’s worth noting Taylor had one of the most entertaining walkouts of the night, filled with dancing and girls, once again standing out like he’s known to do.

Bringing an end to the prelims was SBG Ireland’s Blaine O’Driscoll (6-2) vs. Aaron Robinson (2-2). The pair of flyweight prospects came out hunting the finish. It looked Robinson had a rear-naked choke locked in tight enough to finish the fight in the first 30 seconds, only for O’Driscoll to break free. The Englishman then rocked O’Driscoll only to be walked down by O’Driscoll who throw a flurry of punches to gain some momentum. A big knee the put Robinson on his back, from here O’Driscoll worked towards securing the back and choking out his opponent. All that happened inside an action-packed 3 minutes.

Brother of UFC welterweight Leon Edwards, Fabian Edwards (5-0), remained undefeated in his hunt for a World title when he stopped Claudio Conti (7-5-2) with a body kick. Edwards backed up against the cage and from there went in for the kill. Edwards is a massive prospect who could be on route to the UFC soon.

Kiefer Crosbie(4-0) had the 3Arena absolutely hopping as he went to war with Josh Plant(2-2) in what was arguably fight of the night. The one round scrap left both men gushing blood. Plant, who was expected to try to take Crosse down stood his ground and it looked like it could have gone either way at times. However, Crosbie’s signature elbow strikes forced the referee to step and call the fight with just over a minute left in the first.

The main event was not as exciting as it’s previous few fights, however, Ion Pascu (18-8) showed his wrestling pedigree to dominate the fight. Going back to his roots, Pascu gave Alex Lohore (14-3) little to no time to breathe, putting constant pressure on his opponent and securing the takedown followed by superior grappling throughout to possibly earn himself a title shot.
