The Bundesliga season concludes on Saturday with Bayern Munich hosting Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena. While Bayern have already clinched their sixth straight title and have nothing to play for on Saturday, Stuttgart are fighting for a Europa League spot.

Bayern Munich have not lost a Bundesliga game at the Allianz Arena. The German champions only loss at home was against Real Madrid in Champions League. Bayern’s home dominance in the Bundesliga can be tied to Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker has scored 21 goals at home, failing to score in only one home game.

Stuttgart were 14th in the table at the winter, following a four-game losing streak. The Reds brought in Mario Gomez in the winter transfer window after a poor start to the season with Wolfsburg. At the end of January, Tayfun Korkut was hired as manager and gave the team new life. Since taking over, Korkut lost only one game and picked up 28 points in 13. Gomez was rejuvenated at his boyhood club, scoring seven goals in 15 games.

Only Bayern have allowed fewer goals than Stuttgart. Benjamin Pavard was bought last year when Stuttgart were relegated. The French center-back has emerged as one of the best young center-backs in the Bundesliga. Holger Badstuber was once a German international before injuries derailed his career. Badstuber left Bayern hoping to restart his career with Stuttgart. The center-back has been able to stay healthy this season and is one of the feel-good stories of the season.

Bayern won the first game of the season against Stuttgart 1-0, with Thomas Muller scoring the winner in the 79th minute. The Bavarians will wrap up their season next Saturday when they play Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal final.
