76ers GC keeps rolling as NBA 2K League regular season begins: Highlights and recap
On the first night of the first NBA 2K League regular season, the winner of the league’s launch tournament claimed another victory.
On Friday, May 11, three games began the first week of regular-season play in the NBA 2K League. Two of them featured the teams which played for the championship of “The Tipoff,” a tournament which introduced fans to the teams earlier this month.
Those teams proved their tournament runs weren’t flukes.
The first contest pit the champion of “The Tipoff, 76ers GC, against Bucks Gaming. Halfway through the first quarter, Bucks Gaming’s KinG PeroXide cemented his place in league history.

76ers GC held a 10-point lead as the fourth quarter began, and “The Tipoff” MVP Radiant helped his team maintain that advantage with this breakaway jam.
Despite 32 points by KinG PeroXide, 76ers GC moved to 1-0 on the season with an 80-71 win. ZDS led 76ers GC with 27 points. Knicks Gaming and Warriors Gaming Squad then took the stage looking to join 76ers GC in the win column.
With his team down by as much as 13 in the second quarter, Knicks Gaming’s NateKahl took the direct approach to the bucket. That would fuel a run to tie the game at 39 at the break.

After a second half filled with runs by both teams, Knicks Gaming’s YEYNotGaming got the final bucket.
G O O F Y 7 5 7 led the way for Knicks Gaming in the 77-74 win, totaling 14 points and 12 assists. Promeister dropped 19 to lead Warriors Gaming Squad. The night’s last game featured two teams whose performances in “The Tipoff” were polar opposites.
Blazer5 Gaming nearly ran the table in “The Tipoff,” going undefeated in group play and then seeing defeat only in the championship game. Magic Gaming failed to secure a win in its group play round. Despite being the underdog, Magic Gaming came out strong. Blazer5 Gaming’s Dat Boy Shotz sparked a comeback with this play.
NachoTraynor of Magic Gaming demonstrated his range and kept his team close late in the third quarter.

Dat Boy Shotz found room to slam the ball home often in the game, totaling 25 points to lead Blazer5 Gaming to the 81-72 victory. KontruL scored 23 points to lead Magic Gaming.
