With two games remaining, nothing in Serie A has been determined. The Italian top league still has to crown a champion and determine which teams will qualify for Champions League and Europa League. Atalanta and AC Milan are battling directly for a Europa League spot on Saturday, with the winner taking a huge edge in the race for Europe. Milan are sixth in Serie A with 60 points, one point ahead of Atalanta. While Fiorentina are still in contention for Europe, with 57 points.

Atalanta have been on fire lately. The Black and Blues are unbeaten in their last nine games, picking up 21 points. Atalanta were held to a 1-1 draw with Lazio last weekend as Gian Piero Gasperini rotated his squad. Only five teams have scored more goals than Atalanta and only four teams have conceded fewer. Josip Ilicic and Bryan Cristante have combined for 20 goals this season as Gasperini’s side generate goals from midfield. Mattia Caldara has established himself as one of the better young center-backs in Italy.

AC Milan were easily beaten on Wednesday, losing 4-0 to Juventus in the Coppa Italia final. Milan will now have to rely on their league position to qualify for Europe next season. While Gennaro Gattuso’s side lost Wednesday, they have won back to back Serie A games. Andre Silva never emerged as the striker the club hoped he would be when they signed him in the summer. Instead, Milan have relied on a multi-player attack. Five Milan players have scored at least five goals this season. Suso has had a particularly strong season, scoring six goals and adding 10 assists.
