After 38 weeks, the Premier League season concludes on Sunday with Manchester United hosting Watford in the final game of the season. United are second in the table with 78, while Watford are 13th with 41 points. With both teams already assured of a position in the Premier League next season, both teams will look to end the season with a win.
Manchester United clinched second in the Premier League on Tuesday after a scoreless draw with West Ham. Over their last 10 games, United picked up 22 points. However, the Red Devils have failed to score in their last two games. Romelu Lukaku leads Manchester United with 16 goals this season. Lukaku is one of five United players who have scored at least six goals this season.
Watford defeated Newcastle 2-1 last weekend to get their first win since the beginning of March. The Hornets have scored the eighth-most goals in the Premier League but have struggled to defend. Watford have allowed 63 goals, the third most in the Premier League this season. Abdoulaye Doucoure leads Watford with seven goals this season. The French midfielder has been linked to moves to a bigger club and Sunday’s game could be an audition for Doucoure to make an impression on Jose Mourinho.
