Chris Paul

Despite being one of the greatest point guards of all-time, Chris Paul generates a lot of hate online.

Some people don’t like that he’s an efficient scoring and playmaking machine who can run an offense like a robot designed to run a NBA offense. They want more flashy point guards who shoot 40-footers or explode to the rim.

Some people don’t like that he looks for fouls and complains every time a call doesn’t go his way. Did you know that Chris Paul has been fouled on every single play and has never committed a foul in his life?

Some people don’t like that he’s a dirty player. He has a history of teaching geography on the court. He’ll ask opposing players “What’s the capital of Thailand?” And then point out the answer on the opponent’s body, which he mistakes for a map.

Some people don’t like those State Farm commercials. The only people who think he’s a great actor are the officials signed to a NBA game. Everyone else knows that Kobe is the only NBA player who will ever win an Oscar.

There are plenty of reasons to dislike Chris Paul. It could be one of the reasons above. It could be a combination of the reasons above. You could have your own reason, which I’d be interested in hearing because I love compiling a list of “reasons to dislike Chris Paul.”

Despite being so hated, there’s no denying that Paul is better than Deron Williams.
